With a mission-driven mindset shaped by military service and a deep commitment to putting people first, Htat Aung [pronounced “tat”] serves as a Financial Representative at Wise Financial in Clifton Park, New York, helping families, professionals, and service members build clear, goal-oriented financial strategies.

Htat’s journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from SUNY Plattsburgh, but his path shifted when he recognized a gap in financial services for military families. As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with six years of service, he brings discipline, empathy, and a service-first approach to his work.

Holding certifications including Yellow Belt Six Sigma and a Personal Identifiable Information Certificate, Htat specializes in insurance solutions, budgeting, retirement planning, and navigating military benefits. His approach emphasizes education and clarity, ensuring clients understand the purpose behind every financial decision.

Grounded in his Southeast Asian and Polynesian heritage, Htat lives by a “family first” philosophy and a Burmese proverb: “The King is a servant, a leader, and a teacher. Never a ruler,” guiding his leadership with humility and respect.

Outside the office, he enjoys fishing, country music, and spending time with his pets, as well as taking his nephews on outdoor adventures. He remains active in community service through organizations such as Toys for Tots, 22 A Day, Disabled American Veterans, and the Burmese Fellowship Community, supporting immigrants adjusting to life in the United States.
